FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – ROCKFORD, IL, NOVEMBER 11, 2020 – Rockford Systems (dba Rockford Combustion Solutions) today announced its Combustion System Safety training workshops are now available for immediate enrollment. Program attendees can satisfy mandatory annual training requirements for NFPA 54, 85 and 86. Scheduled on multiple dates from December 2020 to November 2021, training will be held at the company’s Rockford, IL headquarters in a COVID-19 safe environment or may be scheduled at a customer’s location facility for hands-on training.
Participants can select from a variety of workshops including: Combustion System Safety, NFPA 86 Combustion Basics, and NFPA 85 & ASME Boiler Applications. Each workshop’s aim is to educate and empower participants by providing hands-on direction from Chuck Campbell, an industrial combustion safety expert with over 35 years of field training experience. Through the use of interactive demonstrations and instructor-supported lessons, the workshops will teach best practices for the safe operation of industrial boilers, furnaces, dryers and other fuel-fired equipment.
Human Error is the #1 cause of industrial explosions. Many personnel are not adequately trained in the safe startup, shutdown and hazard awareness of combustion equipment, daily operations, proper testing or maintenance procedures. Combustion training provides the knowledge necessary for plant personnel to better operate, troubleshoot, inspect, repair and maintain fuel-fired equipment. Rockford Combustion Solutions offers three safety workshops to help organizations reduce the risks of risk of explosions, fires, asphyxia and burns: https://rockfordcombustion.com/combustion-training/.
Combustion Safety System Workshop
This two-day (16 hours) in-person workshop provides more comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 86 combustion safety and equipment than the one-day basic workshops with added hands-on simulation. Day One provides a detailed overview of combustion equipment fundamentals. Day Two builds beyond the basics by offering practical application knowledge using simulators and props, as well as provides troubleshooting tips. NFPA 86 Combustions Basics
In this one-day (8 hours) remote course, attendees will learn how to administer “NFPA 86: Standard for Ovens and Furnaces” in minimizing fire hazards within commercial and industrial processing of materials. Class topics follow the flow of fuel, starting at the facility inlet continuing through the fuel train, the burner and then out to the atmosphere. The workshop teaches many types of combustion systems, ranging from vintage to modern. Attendees will learn how to identify and use best safety practices when interacting with fuel-fired equipment.
